Every time I walk past this building I can’t resist taking a photo. How many do I need in order to have enough views from slightly different angles, at different times of year, day, light, to feel that I have enough source photos to make a drawing of it that will describe its essence? 10, 20, 100? There is something fundamental that can be described in the way it’s surface is both open and closed at the same time. It’s just beautiful to behold as is, without any thing else, but there is something else, something that nags me every time, that there are secrets to be revealed, answers without questions, a presence of form and function that all adds up to something magical, or at least, a sense of wonder beyond the steel and concrete structures
